“As an Engineering Manager with Texas Instruments (TI), I had the privilege to work closely with Mithun for 2 years. I manage a US-based engineering team, which was extended in 2006 to include the Qthink Bangalore-base consulting firm. Mithun was a Senior Engineer with Qthink. Mithun worked on MMCSD and TI’s proprietary high throughput Memory Controller (EMIF). Multimedia cards (MMC) and Secure Digital (SD) cards are used in a number of end equipment markets but are especially dominant in the digital still camera (DSC) market. TI’s EMIF is very efficient memory controller design, with multi-issue bus, low latency and low power solution. Mithun is a very capable engineer. Mithun can quickly grasp a completely new and complex concept, devise solution and deliver final solution. Our previous generation MMCSD started in somewhere else in the world and the design counterpart is in the US. Mithun had to comprehend this technology and coding environment all by himself, then upgrade to the next generation with substantial addition. Mithun demonstrated capabilities to lead a technical team. Mithun led a team in Qthink on EMIF to work with US counterparts. TI’s EMIF design is a rather complex design with state of the arts industry standards. Mithun quickly adapted, maintained the balance of learning the new technology and delivering project’s milestones. The project was successfully completed. Mithun is a very able and ethical professional in addition to his technical strength: hard work, responsible, and composed. Mithun also has good communication skill, which is critical given the geographical difference during his tenure with us. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for further reference.”
